Item 7.01. Regulation FD. On May 5, 2025, Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (“Lionsgate” or the “Company”) and Lionsgate Studios Corp. (“Lionsgate Studios”) issued a joint press release announcing that the Supreme Court of British Columbia granted the order approving the full separation of its Studios Business from its Starz Business. The press release issued by the Company and Lionsgate Studios in connection with the announcement is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto. The information set forth in this Item 7.01 of this Current Report on Form 8-K is being furnished and shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the “Exchange Act”), nor shall it be deemed incorporated by reference in any filing under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or the Exchange Act, except as shall be expressly set forth by specific reference in such a filing.

The separation is anticipated to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, May 6th. Lionsgate is expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol LION on Wednesday, May 7th.
