Mexico City, October 28, 2026 – Grupo Aeroméxico, S.A.B. de C.V. (“Aeromexico” or the “Company”) (BMV & NYSE: AERO) announced today that S&P Global Ratings has upgraded the Company’s global scale issuer credit rating "BB-" from "B+", reflecting the resilience of Aeroméxico’s business model, disciplined financial management, and ability to remain profitable despite industry volatility and rising operating costs.

S&P Global Ratings also raised the ratings on Aeroméxico’s 2029 Notes and 2031 Notes to "BB" from "BB-", both which are one notch above the Company's issuer credit rating.

According to S&P, Aeroméxico is withstanding industry volatility as demonstrated by its improved financial risk profile. Aeroméxico's premium service model and high-value customer base provide a critical competitive advantage. Strategic capacity management and geographic diversification are also supporting cost optimization. Aeroméxico's liquidity remains solid, supported by its positive cash generation and committed credit lines.

This upgrade represents an important recognition of the structural strength and durability of the Company’s business model, as demonstrated by Aeroméxico’s resilient operating performance, strong profitability, solid liquidity and cash generation, and leading position as Mexico’s flagship airline.
